Pot. From latin pottu(m). Old eurasian word. Etruscan puth, uralic *pot, vogul pot, put, hungarian potroh "belly". Original meaning "swollen shape". Cf. dravidian pengo poto "belly", manda poto, puta "id.", gondi "pota "id.".
